Jun 25 | Global Crypto Market: Major cryptocurrencies traded largely lower in the latest session, with Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, XRP and Litecoin remaining under pressure, while only a few tokens such as BNB, Polygon and Dai posted marginal gains.
Bitcoin fell 0.58% to 60,645, with its losses widening to 3.52% on the week, 19.95% over the month, and 30.64% year-to-date. The world’s largest cryptocurrency continued to hold the biggest market capitalization in the table at $1,223,524 million. Ether also remained weak, slipping 0.21% to 1,616.61, while showing a sharper 45.51% YTD decline.
Among large altcoins, Solana dropped 0.57% to 67.62, XRP fell 0.26% to 1.0696, and Litecoin edged down 0.12% to 41.13. Market breadth remained soft across the board, with Cardano standing out as one of the weakest performers on a broader trend basis, down 38.46% monthly, 55.66% YTD and 73.38% year-on-year. Polkadot and Avalanche also posted steep declines across weekly, monthly and annual time frames.
On the gaining side, Binance Coin (BNB) rose 0.34% to 566, while Polygon added 0.30% and Dai inched up 0.18%, remaining relatively stable compared to the broader crypto market selloff.
