Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam (JDVVNL) conducted a high-level review meeting on Thursday under the chairmanship of Managing Director Dr. Bhanwarlal. Held at the New Power House conference hall, the session focused on revenue collection, loss reduction, Rabi season preparations, and improvement of consumer services.
Revenue Collection Becomes Top Priority
Dr. Bhanwarlal directed all circles and subdivisions to ensure that revenue performance does not lag behind targets by March 2026.
He instructed teams to accelerate recovery from high-outstanding consumers, especially PDC consumers with dues above Rs 5 lakh. Timely clearance of these cases, he said, is essential for strengthening the corporation’s financial health.
Push for Faster Meter Replacement and Accurate Billing
Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of defective meter replacement, the MD stressed the need to complete the task within fixed timelines.
Accurate billing, he noted, depends on functional meters, and delays directly affect both revenue and consumer trust.
Strong Monitoring for Rabi Season Power Supply
To ensure uninterrupted supply during the Rabi season, Dr. Bhanwarlal instructed teams to:
Intensify monitoring of high-load feeders
Improve feeder-wise load balancing
Prepare advance action plans for peak-demand months
These steps aim to ensure reliable electricity for agricultural consumers during the critical irrigation period.
Progress Review of Substations and Network Strengthening
The meeting reviewed progress on:
Agricultural connection approvals
Construction and commissioning of new 33/11 kV GSS
Upgradation of 11 kV and LT networks
For substations where work is pending, the MD asked for weekly progress reports and emphasized uncompromised quality in all ongoing projects.
Focus on Consumer Grievance Redressal
Highlighting consumer satisfaction as a core priority, Dr. Bhanwarlal called for timely and transparent resolution of complaints received through jan-sunwai forums, helpline numbers, and the online portal.
Review of Smart Metering, EV Charging and Vigilance Activities
The meeting also discussed the progress of:
Smart metering rollout
Installation of EV charging stations
Ongoing vigilance operations
The MD reminded officers that achieving government and corporate targets is a shared responsibility. He urged all departments to adopt coordinated and result-oriented working practices.
