Rajasthan is preparing for a large-scale public outreach drive to highlight two years of the state government’s achievements. Beginning Friday, 200 specially designed Vikas Rath will reach every Assembly constituency, carrying detailed information on flagship schemes, reforms, and development work.
Launch Begins with 50 Vikas Rath Flagged Off by the Chief Minister
On Friday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will flag off the first batch of 50 Vikas Rath from the Harish Chandra Mathur Institute of Public Administration, Jaipur.
After this state-level launch, district in-charge ministers will hold press briefings at their respective district headquarters and subsequently flag off all 200 Vikas Rath for their designated Assembly segments.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas shared that each Vikas Rath will use audio-visual displays to present the government’s work over the last two years, ensuring information reaches people in a clear and engaging format.
Extensive Preparation and Monitoring Framework in Place
In a review meeting with divisional commissioners, IGs, and district collectors, the Chief Secretary directed that every Vikas Rath must follow its predetermined route plan with full public participation.
A senior officer—Block Development Officer or above—has been appointed as the nodal officer for each vehicle to ensure smooth coordination.
To oversee the entire operation, a central control room will monitor:
Daily movement through GPS-based geo-tagging
Route adherence
Safety and security at all stops
State-level tracking will ensure transparency and real-time monitoring of the outreach campaign.
Night-Halt Arrangements and Full Coverage of Assembly Areas
As part of the 15-day campaign marking the government’s two-year term, Water Resources ACS and state nodal officer Abhay Kumar directed that night-halt arrangements be made at nearby panchayat offices.
Nodal officers must ensure that every Vikas Rath reaches all critical pockets of the assigned Assembly constituency.
Security Measures Strengthened for Smooth Travel
DGP Sanjeev Kumar Sharma instructed district SPs to deploy sufficient police personnel for the security of each Rath.
He emphasized:
Safe parking of vehicles at nearby police stations during the night
Strict adherence to route charts
Continuous police presence during movement
These measures aim to secure the Rath Yatra and ensure uninterrupted travel across the state.
Press Briefings and Public Engagement at the District Level
The Chief Secretary reviewed preparations related to route charts, schedules, availability of vehicles, security arrangements, and press conferences.
At district-level press briefings, the district in-charge minister, divisional commissioner, collector, MLAs, and local representatives will participate.
