The Department of Hospital Management & Hospice Studies, Faculty of Management Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is organizing a one-day National Seminar on the topic “Technological Disruptions: Reshaping the Landscape of Healthcare” on 2nd August, 2023 (Wednesday) at 10.00 AM at Faculty of Engineering Auditorium, JMI.
Prof. Najma Akhtar (Padma Shri), Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, JMI will preside over the seminar and Dr. Vinod K Paul, Member NITI Ayog will be the Chief Guest. Mr. Pavan Choudary, Director General, Medical Technology Association of India will be the Guest of Honor.
Keynote speaker of the seminar is Dr. Basant Garg (IAS) who is the additional CEO of National Health Account, GoI.
The purpose of the seminar is to discuss and deliberate on the Technological innovations happening in healthcare and creates awareness about numerous technologies available that can benefit the patients in terms of quality of care at reduced cost. Advancements in health technology, digital health, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) have revolutionized the healthcare industry. These innovations have the potential to enhance patient care, improve diagnostics, streamline healthcare delivery, and transform medical research.
Discussions and deliberations will take place in three broad themes i.e. Health Technology and Innovation, Digital Health & Data Analytics and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. Speakers are invited from the Government departments, Healthcare providers, Health-Tech companies, Physicians, IT professionals and Academicians. Various stake holders will brainstorm to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants and facilitate networking opportunities among academia, industry, and healthcare professionals.
The seminar will throw light on the impact of these technological disruptions on the preventive, educative and curative aspect of healthcare delivery. The proposed seminar will facilitate discussions on various challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption of different technological platforms for efficient healthcare delivery. Proceedings of the seminar will revolve around the assumption that technological disruptions in healthcare will increase the quality and reduce the cost of treatments & minimize medical errors.
