Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centrefar Interdisciplinary Research Basic Sciences (CIRBSC) organized a webinar on ′′ Covid 19: Diagnosis and Clinical Management ′′ on September 26, 2020Professor Shobha Brover (EMRATS Professor, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, SGT University, Gurgaon) and Dr. Shivata Bansal (Consultant, Pulmonary Medicine, Plav Minary Medicine, Critical Care Sleep Medicine EIMHANS NIGHTY Multi-Specialty Hospital , New Delhi) as speaker was participant.
Professor Brower reviewed the diagnosis methods available for COVID-19 including real-time PCR, cerology and antigen detection. Also, he also shared general impression and facts about the infection.
Provided the information.Second speaker Shivata Bansal lighted the clinical aspects of the disease which includes mild, severe and extremely serious cases, as well as emphasized the current treatment protocols for COVID 19 patients including anti-viral medicines, steroids, anti-viruses. Includes inflammatory medicines, anticogulants, plasma therapy and supplements etc.
Professor Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, emphasized the importance of such activities in which dialogue regarding health related aspects and awareness about COVID 19 are very important in the current scenario.He also expressed the need to do special research on COVID 19 in health care and will India become self-respect when we do so.
