New Delhi, July 22: A three-week Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) organised by the Department of Computer Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) from 1st July to 19th July 2024 successfully concluded.
Prof. Bashir Alam, Head, Department of Computer Engineering was the Convener of the STTP. Dr. Sarfaraz Masood and Dr. Mohammad Zeeshan Ansari were the coordinators of the programme. 151 participants from institutions and industries across India enthusiastically participated in this interactive programme which included 50 hours of lab and theory sessions.
The valedictory function was held in the Apple Lab of the Department of Computer Engineering, JMI. Mr. IPS Sethi, Deputy Director General, NIC, Government of India was the Chief Guest of the session.
Mr. Sethi in his address motivated the participants, students of B.Tech., M.Tech. , Ph.D. and faculty members to design and develop the best class AI-driven systems and applications for innovative initiatives in healthcare, education, agriculture, e-governance, and other public services to make the life of common citizens more comfortable, easy, and safe.
Prof Bashir Alam, gave a glimpse of the training given during the STTP and said that the participants were skilled in the field of Data visualization, Tableau, Power BI, Python, AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, LLM and Data Science.
Certificates of participations were distributed to the participants by Chief Guest Mr. IPS Sethi and HOD Prof. Bashir Alam. The event concluded with a Vote of thanks by Prof. Mohd Amjad, Department of Computer Engineering, JMI
