Under the visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mazhar Asif and with the encouraging guidance of the esteemed Registrar, Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, who facilitated the administrative aspects with unwavering support, the Department of Psychology at Jamia Millia Islamia successfully organized an Extension Lecture on Monday, November 11, 2025. Prof. Samina Bano, Head of the Department of Psychology, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished international speakers while acknowledging Prof. Naved Iqbal's international research collaboration that brought this valuable opportunity to the department. The enriching academic event was organized by Prof. Naved Iqbal, Extension Lecture Incharge and research collaborator, reflecting the department's commitment to fostering global academic discourse and knowledge exchange through meaningful partnerships.
The lecture featured two eminent scholars from Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, Warsaw, Poland. Prof. Magdalena Zemojtel-Piotrowska (Ph.D., Full Professor) delivered the keynote on "Measuring Political Ideology: Insights from Poland and Abroad," examining cross-cultural perspectives on political ideology measurement across 49 countries. Dr. Jarosław Piotrowski (Ph.D., Associate Professor) presented on "Religious Collective Narcissism," exploring the intersection of religious identity and group-level narcissistic manifestations across major religious traditions.
Following the presentations, the floor was opened for an interactive dialogue between the visiting researchers and participants, fostering meaningful academic exchanges. Faculty members, research scholars, and students engaged in thought-provoking discussions with the distinguished speakers, enriching their understanding of contemporary developments in psychological research.
