
One of India’s leading retail-focussed home loan companies, IIFL Home Finance has received ‘Green Champion Award’ from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). IGBC is a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), one of India’s largest industry bodies.
IIFL Home Finance received the award for being a ‘Pioneer in facilitating large scale adoption of green buildings among residential sectors in India’. IGBC is the country’s premier body for green building certification and related services like training programme, accredited professional examination, membership, etc.
The IGBC Green Champion Award is an effort to appreciate and recognize major achievements of organizations in the field of green buildings. This is one of the highest honour bestowed by IGBC upon the leaders of the green building movement in India.
IIFL Home Finance Ltd is at the forefront of affordable green housing concept in India and has been involved in the development of around 30 IGBC green building projects so far. The contribution has played a key role in India emerging as a global green champion.

IIFL Home Finance Ltd, is also a leading distributor of subsidy under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme vertical of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY – CLSS). It had approved loans worth about Rs. 7000 crores to 42,500 beneficiaries and distributed subsidy amounting to over Rs. 1000 crores to beneficiaries.
