Jaipur: Jaipur is set to witness a historic moment as the city hosts the Army Day Parade for the first time on January 15. Ahead of the 78th Army Day celebrations, the Indian Army will conduct full-dress rehearsals on January 9, 11, and 13, offering the public a glimpse of the Army’s valour, discipline, and operational strength.
This morning, residents will witness striking visuals of the Army’s courage and preparedness, with march-past drills, military band performances, and parade formations taking place during the rehearsal. Senior Army officers, including the parade commander, will be present to oversee the proceedings.
Jaipur to Witness Its First-Ever Army Day Parade
Jaipur will become the first city in Rajasthan to host the Army Day Parade, marking a significant departure from the tradition of holding the event in military cantonment areas. The full-dress rehearsal parade will be conducted from NRI Circle to Bombay Hospital Circle along Mahal Road.
The public can view the rehearsal from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm, with seating arrangements made opposite Akshay Patra Temple. The main Army Day Parade will take place on January 15 on Mahal Road (Hare Krishna Marg).
First Full-Dress Rehearsal Underway in Jaipur
As part of preparations for the 78th Army Day, the Army’s first full-dress rehearsal in Jaipur will begin shortly on Mahal Road. The parade will feature march-past contingents, Army bands, modern weapon systems, and a display of advanced arms used during Operation Sindoor. Spectators will also witness impressive performances by Army bike riders.
