Jaipur, June 10 – Rajasthan Governor Mr. Haribhau Bagde chaired a district-level review meeting with officials at the REET Auditorium in Ajmer on Tuesday. He assessed the implementation of various central and state government schemes and gave directions for their effective execution.
The Governor emphasized prioritizing the planting of large saplings during the upcoming monsoon season, ensuring proper water supply and protection for them. He called for selecting plantation areas where both water and security can be provided to increase the plant survival rate.
Addressing rural employment, Mr. Bagde stressed the need to increase the average workdays per job card under the MGNREGA scheme by approving new projects and raising awareness among workers. He also directed swift distribution of property cards under the PM SVAMITVA Yojana, ensuring they reach all beneficiaries.
On sanitation, he reiterated that the Swachh Bharat Mission is an ongoing process and stressed the importance of functional toilets in all households and the segregation of waste for productive use. He strictly instructed against the burning of waste in any circumstance, citing environmental concerns.
To enhance connectivity, the Governor urged the development of motorable roads using various funds in all settlements, especially where roads are yet to be paved. He called for accelerating work under the Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure a reliable drinking water supply to every household, with local representatives involved in feedback at the Panchayat Samiti level.
Highlighting energy sustainability, Mr. Bagde encouraged boosting solar power generation to make Ajmer energy self-reliant, using rooftops and vacant government premises. He also emphasized adequate staffing at health centers, continued vigilance against COVID-19, and efforts to make the district TB-free.
He instructed that fair price shops must provide wheat to individuals from other states as per the One Nation One Ration Card scheme. Animal vaccination campaigns by the Animal Husbandry Department should continue without interruption.
The Governor also urged reactivating dormant self-help groups under the Rajeevika scheme and equipping them to operate as self-sustaining enterprises.
Governor Reviews Rising Rajasthan MoUs
During the meeting, the status of MoUs under the Rising Rajasthan initiative was also reviewed.
Governor Visits Brahma Temple in Pushkar
Earlier in the day, Mr. Bagde visited the sacred town of Pushkar and offered prayers at the Jagatpita Brahma Temple, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the people of Rajasthan. The temple priests and administration welcomed him with traditional honors and shared insights into the temple’s religious and historical significance. Mr. Bagde noted that Pushkar is not only a hub of spiritual faith but also a symbol of Rajasthan’s rich spiritual heritage.
