French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on January 25, a day ahead of his participation as the chief guest in India's 75th Republic Day celebrations in Delhi. Macron's visit signifies the culmination of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the India-France Strategic Partnership.
Previously, Macron visited India in March 2018 and attended the Delhi G20 Summit in September 2023. He has also hosted Prime Minister Modi in France on four occasions.
Accompanying Macron are ministers Stephane Sejourne (Europe and Foreign Affairs), Sebastien Lecornu (Armed Forces), and Rachida Dati (Culture), along with a delegation of C-level business representatives from French majors, SMEs, and mid-caps. Notable personalities such as ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet are also part of the delegation.
