MANUU CTE-Srinagar hosted the inaugural “1st National Alumni Conference – 2025” on the theme “Career Journeys and Pathways to Success in the 21st Century” on December 23, 2025. The event held at CTE Srinagar campus, brought together alumni, faculty, and students in a celebration of achievements, mentorship, and institutional legacy.
Dr. Mohd Shakeel, Principal, CTE Srinagar presided over the conference. Describing careers as products of inspiration, Dr. Shakeel called teachers “torchbearers” who illuminate and smooth pathways to success. He expressed thanks to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed AinulHasan, Registrar, Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, and Dean, School of Education and Training, Prof. M. Vanaja, MANUU, for all their support and guidance.
In her special addresses Dr. Raihana Malik, Principal, ASCW Budgam, inspired participants with her insights and introduced all the institutions of MANUU in Jammu & Kashmir and their roles. Prof. Bilal Rafiq Shah motivated the audience to boost MANUU’s admissions and growth. In an online interaction, Prof. Dr. Rafeed Ali, Regional Director, RC Kolkata, shared his enduring bond with CTE Srinagar.
The Conference Coordinator Mr. Mohd Jabir, Assistant Professor at CTE Srinagar, delivered a welcome address. He lauded the policies and initiatives of the MANUU administration for their positive impact on the nation. Reflecting on the conference theme, Mr. Jabir described 21st-century careers as “a marathon of evolution,” emphasizing the need to stay agile, embrace diverse experiences, and let passion guide one’s detours. He asserted that true success lies in personal growth rather than mere arrival at a destination.
In an engaging alumni interaction session, over 30 accomplished graduates shared their success stories. Speakers, many from the School Education Department of J&K, Higher Education, and other sectors across India, highlighted pathways for navigating modern careers. Alumni expressed profound appreciation for their teachers and salute them for shaping their professional lives.
Three Ph.D scholars – Dr. Asma Ara, Dr. Asma Gull, and Dr. Najamus Saher – were honored with mementoes for completing their doctorates. The certificates and special alumni mugs emblazoned with the MANUU logo and the slogan “MANUU is Always Yours” were also presented to speakers and participants.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Fatima Zahra, Conference Co-coordinator followed by open interactions, leaving attendees motivated and reaffirming the strong alumni-faculty bond at MANUU CTE Srinagar. Dr. Nighat Farooq and Abdul Hai were the moderators.
