According to the protester, he has been repeatedly approaching government offices since 2024, but despite multiple applications, his grievance has not been addressed. In a video statement, the differently-abled man said that he is 100 percent disabled and depends entirely on a battery-operated tricycle for mobility and basic independence.
He alleged that even after taking his complaint to the District Magistrate (DM) and approaching minister-level authorities, no concrete action has been taken so far.
“I have been running from one office to another for the last two years. I went to the DM and even raised the issue at the ministerial level, but no one is listening to me,” the protester said in the video.
The incident has sparked questions over the implementation of welfare schemes for persons with disabilities and the accountability of officials responsible for timely assistance. The protest outside the Collector’s office highlights growing frustration among beneficiaries who continue to wait for support promised under government disability welfare programs.
