July 29: The cryptocurrency market traded on a mixed note on Tuesday, with Bitcoin holding above the $64,000 mark despite recent volatility, while Cardano (ADA) and XRP emerged among the top gainers. Ethereum (ETH), however, slipped marginally even as it maintained strong monthly momentum.
Bitcoin was trading at $64,017, up 0.22%, with a market capitalization of $1.28 trillion. Despite the day's gains, the world's largest cryptocurrency remains down 3.15% over the past week and 26.83% year-to-date, while posting a 9.33% monthly gain.
Ethereum declined 0.35% to $1,913.14, although it continued to outperform on a monthly basis with a 22.09% rise.
Among major altcoins, Cardano jumped 2.46% to $0.1656, making it the best-performing large-cap token of the session, while XRP gained 1.04% to $1.0792. Solana edged up 0.25%, whereas Binance Coin (BNB) slipped 0.13%.
Other cryptocurrencies showed mixed movement. Polkadot was nearly flat, Avalanche declined 0.87%, Polygon lost 0.71%, and Cosmos fell 0.89%. Stablecoin DAI remained largely unchanged, while Litecoin gained 0.16%. Uniswap dropped 1.24% despite posting a robust 38.30% monthly gain, the strongest among the tokens tracked.
Overall, the crypto market remained range-bound as investors assessed recent gains and awaited fresh macroeconomic triggers.
