On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan at Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur, on Thursday. He purchased Khadi products and appealed to the public to adopt swadeshi goods. By making his purchases through UPI, the Chief Minister also gave a push to the Digital India campaign.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call of ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi–Ghar Ghar Swadeshi’ forms the foundation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). “We must embrace this call and adopt as many indigenous products as possible,” he emphasized.
Prior to this, CM Sharma garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located in the Khadi and Gramodyog Bhavan premises and paid his respects. On the occasion, Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar, officials of the Khadi and Village Industries Board, and members of the public were present.
