Reiterating the commitment to protect nature and wildlife, the 71st Wildlife Week was inaugurated at Nahargarh Biological Park. The event marked a new step towards environmental conservation. The program was flagged off with plantation activities and the release of colorful balloons under the guidance of Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. T. Mohanraj and Deputy Conservator of Forests Vijaypal Singh.
Deputy Conservator of Forests, Jaipur Zoo, Mr. Vijaypal Singh informed that on the opening day, around 330 students from various schools participated enthusiastically, making the event lively. Students from Tagore Public School (Jamdoli), Adarsh Vidya Mandir (Kotkhavda), Adarsh Vidya Mandir (Bassi), Brights Public School (Amer), and Children’s Academy B.B. School (Kukas) took part. The children went on a wildlife tour, shared their experiences, and absorbed the message of conservation.
On this occasion, the Clean and Green Campaign was launched. A puppet show was staged to inspire students, and Mr. Banwari Lal administered the pledge to protect nature and wildlife. At Jaipur Zoo, around 150 students and staff members paid tribute to departed wildlife species. At Hathigaon and Jhalana Leopard Reserve, large-scale cleanliness and plantation drives were conducted, reinforcing the resolve for environmental preservation.
Expressing his views, CCF Dr. T. Mohanraj said that wildlife conservation is not just a duty but the foundation of a prosperous and secure future. Establishing harmony with nature must remain our top priority. The week-long celebrations will infuse new energy into the spirit of conservation.
