Jaipur, December 15: Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma has directed that mineral exploration activities in the state be expanded further. He issued these instructions on Monday while visiting the stall of the Department of Mines and Geology at the state-level exhibition organized at Jawahar Kala Kendra to mark two years of the state government.
The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is a mineral-rich state. Over the past two years, work related to the preparation and auctioning of major and minor mineral blocks has gained significant momentum. However, considering the vast untapped potential of the state, mineral exploration activities will be further accelerated to ensure the scientific mining of the state’s mineral resources.
Principal Secretary, Department of Mines and Geology, Shri T. Ravikant, informed that new technologies and innovations are being incorporated into mineral exploration work. He added that a decision has been taken to collaborate with reputed national institutions for the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The stall of the Department of Mines, Geology and Petroleum showcased a progress model of the HRRL refinery, along with strategic and critical minerals and other major minerals, besides informative reading material.
