Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal for cadre review of gazetted officers of State Forensic Science Laboratory in the interest of personnel. After the approval of Shri Gehlot, now the number of posts has increased from 126 to 144. With the increase of these posts, there will be more quality and ease in the work of laboratories. Also, the case reporting work to be presented before the courts will get a boost. Divisional level laboratories will also be strengthened.
A total of 18 new posts have been created including 3 posts of Additional Director, 6 posts of Deputy Director and 9 posts of Senior Scientific Officers in the cadre review of gazetted officers of State Forensic Science Laboratory.
After cadre review, now there will be a total of 144 posts including 1 post of Director, 7 posts of Additional Director, 11 posts of Deputy Director, 39 posts of Assistant Director for different divisions and 86 posts of Senior Scientific Officer. With the sanctioned 144 posts, officers will get better opportunities for promotion.
It is noteworthy that the Home Department had submitted a proposal to increase the post by reviewing the cadre of gazetted officers of the State Forensic Science Laboratory.
