A special cabinet meeting in honor of freedom fighter Raja Bhobut Singh was held at Raj Bhavan in Pachmarhi under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Several key administrative, labor, and developmental decisions were approved, including initiatives benefiting Narmadapuram district and the state at large.
🔹 Approval for Restructuring of Revenue Offices
The cabinet approved the reorganization of the Principal Revenue Commissioner and Land Records Commissioner offices, merging them into a unified office titled Commissioner, Land Resource Management. The restructuring includes the integration of roles and reallocation of personnel such as Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars for judicial and non-judicial responsibilities. This move is aimed at expediting the resolution of revenue cases by ensuring daily court proceedings.
🔹 Labor Law Simplification
To reduce compliance burdens on small and medium enterprises, the cabinet approved amendments to three labor laws:
Contract Labor Act, 1970: Increased the limit from 20 to 50 contract workers for applicability.
Factories Act, 1948: Revised the threshold to 20 workers (with power) and 40 workers (without power) from the earlier 10 and 20, respectively.
Industrial Disputes Act, 1947: Now mandates pre-strike/lockout notices in all industrial establishments, not just public utility services.
🔹 Agritech/Innovation Hub for Agriculture in Madhya Pradesh
The cabinet approved the establishment of an Agritech Hub / Innovation Hub for Agriculture in Indore, focused on advancing tech-driven agricultural practices and enhancing crop quality.
The MP Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) under the Department of Science & Technology will partner in the project, which will be executed by IIT Indore with the support of ICAR-IISR Indore, ICAR-CIAE Bhopal, and C-DAC Pune.

🔹 Transfer of Pawarkheda Logistics Hub
The composite logistics hub at Pawarkheda, previously operated by Kesar Multimodal Logistics Ltd., will now be transferred to DP World Multimodal Logistics Pvt. Ltd., bringing fresh momentum to regional development in Narmadapuram district.
