Raipur, April 8, 2026: The Urban Administration and Development Department has approved ₹75 lakh for two civic infrastructure works in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, following clearance from Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister Arun Sao.
The department has issued formal sanction orders from the directorate, with the Deputy CM directing officials to ensure quality execution and completion within the stipulated timeline.
Key approvals
- ₹50 lakh has been sanctioned for the installation of a life-size statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and construction of a pedestal platform at Uslapur Hafa Mod Tiraha in Ward No. 3
- ₹25 lakh has been approved for the construction of a community hall near Deendayal Colony, Mangla in Ward No. 13
The projects are aimed at strengthening local public infrastructure and community spaces in Bilaspur, while also adding a cultural landmark through the Birsa Munda memorial installation.
