Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the fastest-growing state in the country, citing strong governance, investor-friendly policies, and rapid industrial expansion.
Addressing the Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit held on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary, Shah said the state will play a major role in India’s journey towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. He added that Madhya Pradesh has attracted one of the highest investment inflows in the country this year.
During the event, Shah laid foundation stones and inaugurated industrial and infrastructure projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore. He also distributed investment intent letters and land allotment documents to investors and launched initiatives including e-Zero FIR for cybercrime handling, making Madhya Pradesh the second state after Delhi to adopt the system.
Praising the state’s progress, Shah said Madhya Pradesh is on track to become a hub for MSMEs and cottage industries, with record registration of new units and growing participation of women-led startups.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the summit would accelerate industrial growth and job creation, positioning Madhya Pradesh as a key destination for investment and inclusive development.
