956 Degrees Conferred at Mahindra University's 4th Annual Convocation
Gold medals awarded to 21 meritorious graduating students
Hyderabad/New Delhi, 4th August 2025: Mahindra University celebrated its fourth annual convocation today at its campus in Bahadurpally, Hyderabad. The event marked a significant milestone for 943 students from across engineering, management, law, and education schools along with 13 PhD scholars in the presence of parents, faculty and guests.
Mr G V Prasad, Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Dr Reddy's Laboratories was the Chief Guest at the convocation. Mr Anand Mahindra, Chancellor, Mahindra University presided over the ceremony in the presence of Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, Mr Mohit Joshi, Member, Board of Management, Mahindra University, and CEO & MD, Tech Mahindra and other faculty members. Mr Medury presented a comprehensive report on the University's progress over the past academic year.
Congratulating the graduating students, Mr G V Prasad, Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Dr Reddy's Laboratories said, "Today marks a new beginning for your dreams and aspirations. As you step into the world, you need to be collaborative, learn from others, build communities and workplaces that break barriers, foster innovation. In today's world, learning is essential for growth and making an impact."
He highlighted the need to build a mosaic of experiences, collaborate like flocking birds that learn together and thrive, and believe in one's ability to overcome self-limiting beliefs. He also mentioned how challenges in life shape individuals and their openness to learning will define the impact they create.
Mr Anand Mahindra's address emphasized the profound duality of purpose embedded in the University's mission to educate 'citizens FOR and OF a better world.' He called upon graduating students to not only embody the values of compassion, critical thinking, and ethics as inheritors of today's world but also to take ownership as architects of a brighter future. Highlighting the transformative power of belief and action, he urged the graduates to live by their values and shape a world rooted in sustainability, inclusivity, and justice.
Dr Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor of Mahindra University, said, "The future of education will be defined by visionary minds, those who challenge convention, imagine boldly, and build with purpose. At Mahindra University, we nurture such minds. Our students are not just preparing for careers; they are preparing to shape the world."
This is the first convocation for the graduating students of the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), the Master of Arts (MA) and the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) Nanotechnology programs.
Mr Mohit Joshi, Member, Board of Management, Mahindra University, and CEO & MD, Tech Mahindra, highlighted the need for professionals who can bridge disciplines, question the status quo, and innovate with purpose. He added, "Mahindra University will increasingly thrive on partnerships across industries. Tech Mahindra is proud to be part of this ecosystem. This year's convocation marks the integration of academic depth and industry relevance; a reflection of our commitment to being future-ready, agile and grounded in values."
Mr G V Prasad and Mr Anand Mahindra, inaugurated Mahindra University's new biotechnology labs during the day. On August 2, the Centre for Risk Management was inaugurated by Mr Mahindra. These new collaborative initiatives mark a significant step in Mahindra University's commitment towards advancing research and innovation.
