A total of 231 officers of the Rajasthan State Animal Husbandry Service—including Senior Veterinary Officers, Deputy Directors, Joint Directors, Additional Directors, and Directors—were promoted on Friday during a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee held at the Government Secretariat. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Ayub Khan, Member of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Also present were Santosh Karol, Deputy Secretary to the Government; Shri Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Personnel Department; and Dr. Anand Sejra, Acting Director, Animal Husbandry Department.
Providing details, Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, said that the promotions covered the years 2016–17 to 2024–25. He emphasized that the process was conducted strictly in accordance with state government rules and on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee. Dr. Sharma noted that long-pending promotions for the posts of Deputy Director, Joint Director, Additional Director, Chief Executive Officer of Rajasthan Livestock Development Board, and Director, Animal Husbandry, have now been completed.
He further added that the promotions, carried out on the basis of eligibility and seniority, will not only boost the morale of the department’s officers but also strengthen the functioning of the department. Extending his best wishes, Dr. Sharma urged all promoted officers to discharge their new responsibilities with integrity and dedication, thereby contributing to the progress of the department.
As per the decisions taken in the meeting:
9 officers were promoted to the posts of Director, Chief Executive Officer, and Additional Director.
51 officers (from General and Special Sections) were promoted to the post of Joint Director.
74 officers were promoted to the post of Deputy Director.
95 Veterinary Officers were promoted to the post of Senior Veterinary Officer.
