National, July 10, 2026: ZF Group is participating at Prawaas 5.0, India’s flagship multimodal transport show, being held from 9–11 July 2026 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Organized by the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), Prawaas 5.0 is themed ‘Towards Safe, Smart & Sustainable Public Transport’ and brings together stakeholders across buses, metro, taxis, last-mile mobility, technology, finance, government and civil society to advance India’s future mobility ecosystem.
At the exhibition, ZF is showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket solutions designed to support India’s transition towards safer roads, cleaner mobility and more efficient commercial vehicle operations. The display highlights ZF’s capabilities across electrification, braking, chassis systems, advanced safety, connectivity and aftermarket reliability, reinforcing the company's commitment to enabling the future of public transport through innovative technologies.
Akash Passey, President, ZF Group India, said: "India's public transport ecosystem is undergoing a fundamental transformation, driven by rapid urbanisation, sustainability goals and an increasing focus on road safety and operational efficiency. At ZF, we are enabling this transition by bringing together globally proven technologies and local engineering expertise to support our customers across every stage of their mobility journey. Our participation at Prawaas 5.0 reflects our commitment to delivering integrated solutions that not only address today's transportation challenges but also lay the foundation for a connected, electrified and software-driven future for commercial vehicles in India."
Among the key highlights is AxTrax 2, ZF’s integrated and modular electric axle for light- and medium-duty bus applications. Designed to replace the engine, transmission and conventional axle, AxTrax 2 integrates the e-motor, inverter, ECU, e-actuator and transmission into a compact axle-based solution, delivering high power and efficiency while enabling local zero-emission mobility for battery-electric, fuel-cell and trolley buses.
ZF is also showcasing the RL82A front axle system, engineered for city buses with a low-floor design, wide centre aisle and precise steering kinematics. With steering angles of up to 55 degrees, low-maintenance construction and internally ventilated disc brake technology, the RL82A supports passenger comfort, manoeuvrability and safety in demanding urban transport conditions.
Another major highlight is ZF’s Door Control Solutions for buses. Designed for both pneumatic and electric door applications, these modular electronic systems enhance driver and passenger safety through features such as clamping protection, emergency door opening, CAN-bus connectivity and flexible adaptation to different bus configurations.
ZF's Original Equipment portfolio on display also includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for buses, ABS, Electronic Braking System (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS) Kit, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), eComp Lite, Bus Connect, Bus Dampers and V Rod. Together, these technologies demonstrate ZF’s broad expertise in enabling commercial vehicles to become safer, cleaner, more connected and more efficient, supporting the industry's transition towards next-generation mobility.
