The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, recommending 958 candidates for appointment to India’s premier administrative services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank (AIR) 1, followed by Rajeshwari Suve at Rank 2 and Akansh Dhull at Rank 3. The results mark the culmination of a multi-stage selection process that included the preliminary examination, the main written examination held in August 2025, and the personality test conducted earlier this year.

According to the UPSC statement, 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment across various services. However, the candidature of 348 candidates has been kept provisional, pending verification of eligibility and documentation.
Final service allocation will depend on the number of vacancies reported by the Government of India for each service.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages — Preliminary, Main, and Interview — to recruit officers for the country’s top administrative and diplomatic services. Candidates who clear all stages are inducted into various Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ services.
