Ujjain, 26 November — Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the long-awaited dream of having an All India Radio (AIR) centre in Ujjain has finally been fulfilled. The building was ready earlier, but due to pending broadcast approval, operations could not begin. “With approval granted just six months ago, we now have full-fledged broadcasts from All India Radio Ujjain. Every word that goes out from this centre will enhance the glory of Ujjain and the upcoming Simhastha,” he said.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Yadav said that this marks Madhya Pradesh’s 20th AIR centre, adding that AIR has always played a significant role in entertainment, public service, and mass awareness. He added that the Ujjain broadcasts—running daily from 5:55 AM to 11 PM—will write a new chapter in AIR’s history.
The event was attended by Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan, who stated that the new centre will become a hub for youth employment, skill development, and high-quality broadcasting.
