After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, MSC Maratha Royals faced early setbacks despite positive starts from Sahil Jadhav (15) and captain Siddhesh Lad (24 off 16). The innings was rebuilt through a crucial middle-order partnership between Chinmay Sutar and Maxwell David Swaminathan.
Sutar, last season’s highest run-scorer in the T20 Mumbai League, played a composed knock of 32 off 26 deliveries, while Maxwell contributed 36 off 29 balls, including 2 sixes and 1 four.
