NEW DELHI, April 4: In a brilliant display of attacking golf, The Pioneers won four games on the trot to win their match against Shiva Mahindra on Day-8 of the Delhi Golf Club Members League - powered by RADICO’ at the historic Delhi Golf Club here today.
The Pioneers won the opening two games. The third was tied but thereafter, The Pioneers went on to win the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh games to tally 13 points as against Shiva’s tally of a solitary point.
In the second contest of the day, 24 Lions won their opening game against Legends 9. The next game was tied but Legends 9 came back with a bang in the third game to draw level. Not one to let up, 24 Lions won the fourth and fifth games. Legends 9 won the 6th game but 24 Lions wrapped up the match with a win in the seventh and final game. 24 Lions earned 9 points as against their opponents 5.
In the match between MMG Coco-Cola and The A-Team, MMG Coca-Cola won the first game. The A-Team however came back in style to win the next three games. The fifth game saw MMG Coca-Cola triumph again but this was negated by The A-Team winning the sixth game. MMG Coca-Cola went on to win the seventh game but couldn’t prevent The A-Team from pocketing 8 points as against their own tally of 6.
In the contest between Dayal Opticals and Teem EDC, Dayal drew first blood winning the opening game. The second game was won by TeeM EDC, but Dayal Opticals fought back to win the third and fourth games. Teem EDC won the fifth game but Dayal Opticals registered a win in the sixth and seventh games to tally 10 points. TeeM EDC had to settle for 4 points.
