July 24, 2026: A Hyderabad-based employee, Bhavana, has filed a police complaint against Tech Mahindra, alleging that she was terminated without prior notice or valid justification while she was on medical leave to care for her sick daughter.
Bhavana staged a protest outside the company's Dundigal campus on July 23, alleging that she faced repeated pressure to return to work despite her daughter's medical condition.
She further alleged that the company sent warning emails during her leave and that she was subjected to a stressful work environment with restrictive workplace policies.
Following her termination, Bhavana approached the Dundigal Police and sought legal action against the company.
Tech Mahindra, in response, said it had contacted the employee and was reviewing the matter on priority. The company added that it remains committed to employee safety and well-being.
