T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), a constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), will host the 21st edition of its flagship event, Quiz on the Beach (QOTB) 2026, on 25 January 2026 at Malpe Beach, Udupi, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Widely regarded as Asia's largest quizzing event, QOTB has, over the past two decades, earned a distinguished reputation as one of the most prestigious quiz competitions in the region.
Building on its strong legacy and association with leading national quiz platforms such as the Tata Crucible Quiz, QOTB has evolved into a high-calibre intellectual forum that brings together some of the brightest minds from academia, business, and industry. Its distinctive beachside setting further enhances the competitive experience, blending intellectual rigor with a unique and engaging atmosphere.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Durga Prasad, Incharge Director, TAPMI, said, "As we mark the 21st edition of Quiz on the Beach, we take pride in its evolution into a nationally celebrated platform that attracts exceptional talent from across the country."
The previous edition witnessed participation from over 3,000 quiz enthusiasts representing premier institutions such as the IITs and IIMs, along with professionals from leading organizations including Barclays, Mastercard, ESPN, and ICICI Prudential. QOTB 2026 will continue to uphold high competitive standards for students and professionals alike.
The competition features a rigorous multi-stage format, beginning with online preliminaries on Unstop, followed by city qualifiers in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, along with additional online rounds. The top eight teams advance to the Grand Finale at Malpe Beach.
The finale will be hosted by renowned quizmaster Mr. Giri "Pickbrain" Balasubramanium, promising a challenging and engaging contest. TAPMI's mascot Curio will also return to enhance audience engagement.
With its scale, legacy, and distinctive format, Quiz on the Beach 2026 is set to once again showcase India's finest quizzing talent in an unforgettable intellectual celebration.
