Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has been re-accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and, for the first time, accredited by the Business Graduates Association (BGA). With this recognition, SPJIMR is now among just 45 business schools worldwide and one of only three in India to hold both AMBA and BGA accreditations.
In December 2024, SPJIMR earned the prestigious EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation, completing the Triple Crown—EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. This places SPJIMR among the top 1% of business schools globally.
Prof. Varun Nagaraj, Dean, SPJIMR, expressed pride in this achievement, stating, “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and excellence of our faculty, students, staff, and alumni. It reaffirms our commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant education with a strong focus on ethics, sustainability, and societal impact.” Currently, SPJIMR is one of only four Indian institutes to hold the Triple Crown and one of just two to also hold the BGA accreditation.
The AMBA-BGA accreditation highlights SPJIMR’s overall impact and value creation for students, employers, and communities, with a strong focus on responsible management. It upholds the same level of rigour as AMBA’s accreditation for postgraduate business programmes while also recognising the institution’s broader contributions. The BGA accreditation is a consultative, non-prescriptive quality assurance recognition, awarded to business schools that can demonstrate measurable impact on their students and communities over time.

The AMBA-BGA joint accreditation has been awarded for five years. While the BGA accreditation applies at the institute level, the AMBA accreditation has been granted to the following programmes: PGDM, PGDM (BM), PGPM, PGEMP, PGPDM, PGPGM, PGDM Online, and PGPFMB.
This joint accreditation reinforces SPJIMR’s commitment to academic excellence, responsible management, and meaningful stakeholder impact. It serves as a mark of quality and credibility, assuring prospective students, employers, and partners that SPJIMR meets rigorous global standards, distinguishing it in a competitive landscape.
