Shree Cement Limited, one of India’s leading cement producers, has achieved a CareEdge ESG Rating score of 73.8, up from 70.8 in the previous assessment. The company has also retained its CareEdge ESG 1 rating, reflecting its performance across environmental, social, and governance parameters.
The assessment recognises Shree Cement’s progress in areas including renewable energy adoption, resource efficiency, water stewardship, waste management, workplace safety, and governance practices. The rating highlights the company's continued efforts to integrate sustainability considerations into its operational and strategic decision-making.

Shree Cement continues to advance its sustainability agenda through focused investments in renewable energy, resource efficiency, waste heat recovery, and alternative fuels. As a member of the RE100 initiative, the company remains committed to achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2050 and has already surpassed 60% renewable energy consumption across its operations—among the highest levels in the Indian cement industry.
Beyond renewable energy, Shree Cement continues to strengthen its environmental performance through the expanded deployment of Waste Heat Recovery Systems (WHRS), increased use of Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials (AFR), and ongoing investments in energy-efficient technologies.
