| Seven-time American champion Serena Williams today reached her 12th Wimbledon women’s singles semi-final in a hard fought 6-4, 4-6,6-3 victory over unseeded compatriot Alison Riske. She will now return to Centre Court to partner Britain’s Andy Murray in the mixed doubles. Simona Halep of Romania also reached women’s singles semi-final today, beating Shuai Zhang of China 7-6, 6-1. Men’s singles quarterfinals will be played tomorrow. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic among others reached quarter-finals yesterday. |
