Senior journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, who played a key role in building Hindi digital platform Lallantop into a prominent media brand, has resigned from his position. He has also stepped down from his editorial responsibilities at the India Today Group. The management has accepted his resignation and formally relieved him from his duties.
Dwivedi confirmed the development through a series of posts on social media platform X, expressing gratitude towards Lallantop and his colleagues. His announcement has triggered widespread discussion within media circles.
In one of his posts, Dwivedi wrote, “Thank you, Lallantop, for identity, learning and courage. Our journey ends here. I will take a study break and then speak about the next resolve.” In another message, he described the phase as “a comma, not a full stop,” indicating that a new chapter is about to begin.
According to sources, Dwivedi is exploring the possibility of launching an independent media venture, though no official announcement has been made so far. There is also speculation about his interest in films and television, an ambition he has mentioned in past interviews. However, Dwivedi has not clarified whether his next move will remain within journalism or extend into a different creative domain.
