PV Sindhu will face Singapore’s Yeo JM. Subhankar Dey will fight Indonesian S H Rhustavito. Saina defeated Ngan Yi Cheung of Hong Kong 23-21, 21-17 in the women’s singles first round. Sindhu defeated Canada’s Michelle Li in straight games 21-15, 21-13 on Tuesday. Subhankar Dey was the only Indian shuttler left in the men’s singles competition. He defeated Indonesia’s Tommy Sugirato 15-21, 21-14, 21-17 in the men’s singles first round yesterday.
