Surat, December 30th, 2025: Roundglass Hockey Academy continued its dominant run at the junior level, successfully defending the crown at the 3rd Hockey India Junior Men Academy Championship. The side defeated SGPC Hockey Academy 4-0 in the final in Surat, producing a dominant performance to clinch the title yet again.
Roundglass Hockey Academy delivered a composed and clinical performance in the title clash. Sukhpreet Singh opened the scoring in the 27th minute, before Jarman Singh doubled the lead in the 35th minute. The youngsters maintained firm control in the latter stages, with Sukhmanpreet Singh extending the advantage in the 51st minute, followed by Amandeep Singh finding the net in the 56th minute to seal the dominant victory.
Amandeep was named the Best Defender of the tournament, while Sukhpreet was awarded the Best Forward.
The triumph marks a remarkable sequence of success for Roundglass Hockey Academy in the competition, which is competed in the U19 category. The Academy won the inaugural edition in 2023 in Zone A, and retained the championship in 2024 when the tournament expanded to Zone A and Zone B, and have now completed a third consecutive title at the national academy level. In last year’s final, Roundglass Hockey Academy had produced a commanding 8-3 victory over Odisha Naval Tata Academy, highlighting their attacking depth and composure on the big stage.
The 2025 campaign was defined by authority and consistency from the outset. Roundglass Hockey Academy opened the campaign in Pool A with an emphatic 11-1 win over Sports Authority of Gujarat - Hockey Academy, followed by a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Army Boys Sports Company to secure progression.
In the semi-finals, Roundglass Hockey Academy delivered one of its most dominant performances of the tournament, registering an 8-1 win over Ghumanhera Risers Hockey Academy to book a place in the final.
The successful title defence further reflects Roundglass Hockey Academy’s position as a leading talent development programme, with sustained success at the junior level highlighting a strong and clearly defined pathway for young players progressing through the system.
