Implemented under the effective directions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, the ‘Rasta Kholo Abhiyan’ (Open the Path Campaign) in Jaipur district has emerged as a major relief initiative for rural residents and farmers. Through this sensitive and people-centric administrative effort, as many as 1,508 long-blocked routes have been reopened in less than 14 months, significantly easing access to farms, dhanis, and villages for lakhs of rural citizens.
To ensure effective implementation and maximum public benefit, District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni is personally monitoring the campaign on a continuous basis. Owing to proactive administration and a dialogue-driven approach, disputes pending for years are being resolved amicably through mutual consent and persuasion, avoiding prolonged litigation.
Under the campaign, Phagi tehsil emerged as the top performer, with the reopening of 136 routes, followed by Mauzamabad, where 120 routes were cleared, providing substantial relief to local residents.
As per the District Collector’s directions, a target has been set to reopen at least three routes every week in each tehsil. Accordingly, blocked pathways leading to villages, agricultural fields, and dhanis are being systematically reopened through consensus-based solutions.
Between November 15, 2024 and January 10, 2026, the campaign recorded significant progress across tehsils. Apart from Phagi and Mauzamabad, 101 routes were reopened in Andhi, 91 in Chomu, 86 in Shahpura, 80 each in Amer and Jamwaramgarh, 82 in Chaksu, 81 in Phulera, 78 in Dudu, 76 in Madhorajpura, 74 in Jobner, and 72 in Rampura–Dabri.
Similarly, 77 routes were reopened in Bassi, 65 in Kishangarh-Renwal, 63 in Kotkhawda, 57 in Jalsu, 50 in Tunga, 27 in Sanganer, 8 in Kalwar, and 4 in Jaipur tehsil. These efforts have restored long-obstructed routes, ensuring smoother mobility and direct benefits for farmers and rural communities.
