Rajeev Gandhi Kisan Beej Uphaar Yojana Rabi 2022 – 23 is being implemented by Rajasthan State Seed Corporation.
The Chairman of Rajasthan State Seed Corporation, Mr. Dheeraj Gurjar informed that with the objective of making available high quality seeds of newly developed improved varieties by scientists in maximum quantity at reasonable rates and to increase the use of certified seeds, Rajasthan State Seed Corporation has established Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Beej Uphaar Yojana Rabi 2022 – 23 is being implemented. He said that the corporation is producing certified seeds of high quality and making them available up to the village level at reasonable prices for the farmers. The corporation is mainly producing seeds of moong, urad, guar, soybean, groundnut, jowar, bajra in Kharif and wheat, gram, mustard and barley crops in Rabi.
He said that after implementing this scheme in all the districts of the state, a total amount of Rs 4.00 crore would be spent on the scheme. Under the scheme, 51 gifts will be given to farmers in each district through lottery. In each district, first gift Tractor-01, second Uphaar Battery Operated Knapsack Sprayer Machine 20 and third Uphaar Kisan Torch-30 will be selected by lottery and distributed to the farmers.
Shri Gurjar said that due to implementation of important scheme like gift on purchase of seeds for the farmers by Rajasthan State Seed Corporation, interest will increase among the farmers towards the use of certified seeds and farmers can make more production and earn more income by making maximum use of certified seeds.
