The Rajasthan government has rolled out the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025, marking a major push to transform the state into a preferred destination for national and international film productions. The policy offers a strong mix of financial incentives and simplified administrative processes to attract filmmakers.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage, desert landscapes, historic forts, palaces, and diverse natural locations give it a global edge. The new policy, he added, will establish the state as a major filming hub while creating employment and skill-development opportunities for youth.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari stated that the policy goes beyond subsidies. It focuses on ease of doing business by streamlining approvals and ensuring smooth on-ground execution for film projects.
Up to 30% Subsidy on Production Spend
The policy provides subsidies of up to 30% on eligible production expenditure incurred in Rajasthan. The maximum subsidy caps are set at ₹3 crore for feature films, ₹2 crore for web series, ₹1.5 crore for TV serials, and ₹2 crore for documentaries.
Minimum Spending Requirement
To qualify for subsidies, producers must spend at least ₹2 crore in Rajasthan for feature films, and ₹1 crore for web series, TV serials, and Rajasthani-language films.
