Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma announced a series of institutional reforms aimed at strengthening Rajasthan Police, including cadre restructuring, expanded promotion opportunities and an aggressive strategy against organised crime.
The Rajasthan Government has approved the restructuring of 403 posts across technical cadres including drivers, mounted police and band units, enabling long-pending promotions and creating career progression similar to the civil police cadre.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) also reported significant achievements during the past year. Between July 2025 and June 2026, ATS registered three UAPA cases, arrested suspects in terrorism-related investigations, cracked down on illegal explosives and arms trafficking, and dismantled narcotics networks.
Officials also monitored 728 individuals through social media surveillance, initiated de-radicalisation measures for 15 youths, and arrested 25 proclaimed offenders carrying cash rewards.
Outlining the future roadmap, Sharma said Rajasthan Police will intensify action against extortion syndicates, organised gangs and fugitives, including pursuing the extradition of criminals hiding abroad whenever required. He added that intelligence-led operations and technology-driven policing will remain central to the department's long-term strategy.
