Jaipur/Kotputli–Behror, March 19, 2026: In a push to strengthen the cooperative sector, Gautam Kumar Dak, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, inaugurated a ‘Sahkar Super Market (Mart)’ in Pragpura.
The inauguration took place during a किसान सम्मेलन organized by the local cooperative society, with participation from farmers, public representatives, and community members.
‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ Driving Rural Economic Growth
The minister highlighted that under the vision of Narendra Modi and guidance of Amit Shah, along with leadership of Bhajan Lal Sharma, the government is actively promoting the “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation) initiative.
He emphasized that cooperatives are not just administrative structures but represent:
Trust and community participation
Collective economic growth
Inclusive development for rural India
Infrastructure Boost: Warehouse and Equipment Support
To strengthen agricultural infrastructure, key announcements were made:
500 metric tonne capacity warehouse for the cooperative society
Plans to provide harvesting equipment support in the near future
These initiatives aim to improve storage capacity, reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance farmer income.
National Cooperative Policy and Vision 2047
The minister noted that the government is working toward the goal of a Developed India by 2047, with a focus on:
Establishing cooperative societies in every पंचायत
Making villages hubs of cooperative activity
Creating employment opportunities in rural areas
The new National Cooperative Policy aims to strengthen institutions and make villages more self-reliant.
Digital Push for Transparency
To improve governance in the cooperative sector:
Digitalization is being promoted
Farmers are encouraged to join digital platforms
Focus on transparency, efficiency, and accessibility
Support for Farmers and Welfare Schemes
The minister reiterated the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, including benefits under schemes like:
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, providing direct financial support
He described the Sahkar Mart as a practical example of the cooperative principle:
“One for all, and all for one.”
