The Rajasthan government has taken a major step toward transparent and fully digital public procurement with the launch of the Single Holistic Procurement Portal (SHPP). An orientation and launch workshop for the portal was held on Wednesday at the CoERRA building under the aegis of the Finance Department.
The workshop was chaired by Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Galriya, who described SHPP as a unified solution to address existing challenges in the public procurement system. He said the portal integrates multiple processes on a single platform, making government procurement simpler, more transparent, and more accountable.
During the session, Secretary (Budget) Rajan Vishal delivered a detailed presentation on the concept, objectives, and operational framework of SHPP. He noted that effective implementation of the portal will strengthen contract management and the procurement ecosystem, ensuring timely and efficient use of budget allocations for government schemes and projects, while accelerating development works.
SHPP is designed as an integrated digital system that brings together platforms such as SPPP, e-Procurement, GeM, and WAM under one unified interface. As part of the launch, four key modules were formally rolled out—Request for Quotation, Limited Bidding, Procurement from Notified Agencies, and Vehicle Hiring. Live demonstrations were conducted to showcase the portal’s functionality and workflow.
The workshop saw participation from heads of departments, financial advisors, chief accounts officers, and senior officials from the Finance Department. Through SHPP, the state government aims to modernize public procurement, enhance transparency, and leverage technology as a core pillar of good governance.
