Jaipur, April 24, 2026: In a significant development, the Rajasthan High Court has granted interim relief to senior IAS officer Arti Dogra by staying the order of a single bench that had directed an Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) probe against her.
The division bench, comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Shubha Mehta, passed the order during a hearing on Friday, effectively halting both the ACB investigation and all related proceedings until further directions.
The earlier order, issued on April 23 by a single bench, had called for an ACB inquiry citing delays in administrative decision-making, particularly related to departmental promotion committee (DPC) processes and pending disciplinary matters within the discom.
Challenging the order, senior counsel R.N. Mathur argued before the division bench that the matter pertained to administrative delays and did not constitute corruption, making an ACB probe unwarranted. The court took note of these submissions while granting the stay.
Arti Dogra, currently serving as Discom CMD, was present in court during the proceedings, underscoring the sensitivity of the case.
The controversy stems from alleged delays in concluding departmental inquiries and DPC-related decisions. The single bench had earlier observed administrative inaction and directed an ACB probe, which was subsequently challenged before the division bench.
