Jaipur, March 24, 2026: The Rajasthan government has assured that there is no shortage of LPG, petrol, or diesel across the state, amid rising concerns and social media rumours.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas stated that sufficient supply and storage of essential fuels are being maintained and directed officials to take strict action against misinformation and illegal activities.
Strict Action Against LPG Black Marketing
The state government has issued clear instructions to district administrations:
- Monitor hoarding, black marketing, and misuse of LPG cylinders
- Register FIRs against violators
- Conduct regular inspections at gas agencies and fuel stations
Authorities have been asked to ensure that no disruption occurs in fuel supply across districts.
24-Hour Complaint Resolution System
To improve public service delivery:
- LPG-related complaints must be resolved within 24 hours
- Citizens can report issues via helplines: 14435, 112, 181
- A 24×7 control room is operational
The government is leveraging digital systems to ensure quick grievance redressal and transparency.
Measures to Ensure Transparent Supply
The administration has mandated:
- Online booking only for LPG cylinders
- Delivery strictly through OTP verification
- Aadhaar verification for bookings from non-registered mobile numbers
These steps aim to eliminate fraud and streamline distribution.
Push for PNG and CNG Adoption
The government is also focusing on reducing LPG dependency:
- Pending PNG and CNG connection applications to be cleared before March 27
- Expansion of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks
- Encouraging commercial and industrial users to shift to PNG gas supply
Coordination Across Departments
The directives follow a high-level review led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
