Rajasthan’s Budget 2026 placed strong emphasis on healthcare access, water security, road safety and infrastructure expansion, aligning with the state’s long-term “Viksit Rajasthan @2047” vision. A major highlight was the launch of the ‘Raj Mamta’ mental health initiative and the announcement of a Centre of Excellence in Mental Health at SMS Medical College, Jaipur, aimed at tackling depression, anxiety and suicide through telemedicine, counselling and modern treatment systems. The government also proposed ₹150 crore investment under a new Trauma and Emergency Policy to strengthen emergency care across the state.
To improve accident response and save lives, the government launched the RAJ-SURAKSHA emergency response system, including a 24×7 command centre, tele-thrombolysis facilities at Community Health Centres for early heart-attack treatment, and deployment of 250 modern ambulances across highways. CPR training will now be mandatory for obtaining a driving licence, while doctors and paramedical staff will receive cardiac life support certification. The state aims to raise life expectancy above 77 years and significantly reduce maternal and infant mortality.
Water security and infrastructure also received major allocations. Under the CM Jal Jeevan Mission, ₹4,500 crore will connect 6,500 villages with tap water, while ₹2,300 crore will strengthen urban drinking water supply and 3 lakh new connections will be issued next year. Major works include Bisalpur water expansion, new tube wells, mobile water testing labs and a Centre of Excellence for water management in Jaipur. The government also announced ₹1,800 crore for new roads and bridges, 15 new railway over/under bridges, 2,000 surveillance cameras for road safety, and expansion of highways, flyovers and parking infrastructure.
In education and social sectors, the budget proposed 400 Rajasthan Innovative Schools with ₹1,000 crore investment, increased scholarships for families of Kargil martyrs, expansion of STEM initiatives, and integrated facilities for soldiers and ex-servicemen. Two new solar parks in Bikaner and Jaisalmer, real-time AI monitoring of the power grid, and record infrastructure capital expenditure further underline the state’s growth strategy, with Rajasthan’s economy projected to exceed ₹21 lakh crore in 2026-27.
