The Rajasthan Budget 2026 placed a strong focus on youth empowerment, skills, and transparency in examinations. Finance Minister Diya Kumari announced that self-defence and confidence-building training will be expanded to nearly 50,000 girl students through Rani Lakshmibai Centres. Currently operational in over 300 universities, these centres have trained around 15,000 students, and will now be extended to 150 additional colleges in the coming year.
In a major reform to strengthen exam transparency, the government also announced the establishment of a Rajasthan State Testing Agency on the lines of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The move aims to curb paper leaks and ensure a fair, technology-driven examination system, boosting confidence among youth.
Highlighting the state’s youth-led growth vision, the government said Rajasthan’s young population will be transformed from job seekers into job creators through vocational education, skill development, career counselling, and simplified processes. Efforts are underway to improve employment opportunities across both government and private sectors.
Under the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme, 1 lakh youth will receive loans of up to ₹10 lakh with 100% interest subsidy and margin money support, with a proposed outlay of over ₹1,000 crore. Around 30,000 youth are expected to benefit from the scheme in the current financial year, reinforcing the state’s push toward entrepreneurship and youth-driven economic growth.
