The Rajasthan government has intensified preparations for the smooth and transparent conduct of the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 scheduled for May 24.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas chaired a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday and directed officials to ensure robust arrangements for transportation, law and order, electricity, healthcare and drinking water facilities across examination centres.
A large number of candidates are expected to appear at 125 examination centres spread across Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur districts. The Chief Secretary emphasized uninterrupted power supply in view of prevailing heatwave conditions and instructed officials to maintain strict vigilance at sensitive centres.
Security arrangements, traffic management and emergency medical support were also reviewed during the meeting. Officials were directed to work in close coordination to prevent any irregularities or disruption during the examination process.
Senior officials from the police, health, home and administrative departments, along with district collectors and police commissioners from key cities, attended the review meeting physically and through video conferencing.
