In a comprehensive review meeting held on Monday at the Education Complex, the Education Minister issued directives to ensure regular care of the saplings planted under the 'Harit Rajasthan' initiative until they grow into full-fledged trees.
The meeting also reviewed several key areas including admission festival, enrollment in model schools, recruitment, promotions, compassionate appointments, scholarships, distribution of free tablets and cycles, repair and construction of school buildings, and RTE admissions. The Minister provided necessary instructions on each of these topics.
Specific instructions were given to maintain separate records of newly enrolled children from nomadic tribes, to identify the reasons for student dropout, to ensure strict adherence to daily routines in residential schools and rules in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and to expedite the disposal of pending cases against personnel.
During the meeting, the Education Minister administered an oath to the officials present to avoid the use of single-use plastic. He urged that single-use plastic should not be used in schools and education department offices, and that others should also be encouraged to refrain from using it.
Those present at the meeting included the Principal Secretary, School Education, Shri Krishna Kunal, Commissioner, Mid-Day Meal, Shri Vishwa Mohan Sharma, Special Secretary, Smt. Chitra Gupta, State Project Director, Shri Aviral Chaturvedi, Director of Secondary Education, Shri Ashish Modi, Director of Elementary Education, Shri Sitaram Jat, and other officials of the education department.
