Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, April 4, 2026:
Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said the “Unnat Krishi Mahotsav 2026: Exhibition and Training”, scheduled from April 11 to 13 in Raisen, will emerge as a game-changing national agriculture fair, bringing new technologies, market access, and policy support directly to farmers.
After inspecting the event venue at Dussehra Ground in Raisen with senior central and state officials, Chouhan described the three-day event as more than just an exhibition, calling it “a major opportunity to transform farmers’ livelihoods.” He also flagged off the promotional outreach vehicle for the fair and interacted with local stakeholders.
Organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, the national-level fair will be built around the themes “Government Schemes with Farmers, Markets Without Middlemen” and “Safe Produce, Prosperous Farmers.”
The venue is being developed with three large hangars and three seminar halls, designed to accommodate thousands of farmers from across the country.
A major highlight of the event will be 300 exhibition stalls spread across two technical hangars. These will showcase the latest solutions in farm machinery, irrigation, crop protection, soil nutrition, seed technology, agri-services, innovation, and research, along with dedicated participation from institutions linked to CGIAR, ICAR, NAFED, NCCF, National Seeds Corporation, FPOs, and the Ministry of Rural Development.
A separate hangar is being prepared as the main cultural and inauguration hall, with a large stage and seating arrangements for mass farmer participation.
The fair is also expected to serve as a single-window knowledge and market platform, where farmers can directly access information on government schemes, post-harvest infrastructure, warehousing, cold storage, and interest subvention support under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.
