Paddy procurement under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the Kharif marketing year 2025–26 began smoothly across Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki district on 15 November. At 27 procurement centres operated by 19 Primary Cooperative Societies, the process is being carried out in an organised and transparent manner. So far, a total of 5,090 quintals of paddy has been sold by 148 farmers in the district.
Strict Monitoring of Procurement Under Collector’s Supervision
Under the guidance of Collector Mrs. Tulika Prajapati, nodal officers have been appointed at each procurement centre. Their responsibility is to prevent illegal purchase or sale of paddy and ensure strict oversight of the entire process.
A joint team comprising officials and staff from various departments is conducting surprise inspections at procurement centres to maintain full transparency and effective control over the system.
Farmer-Friendly and Transparent Procurement System
Constant monitoring by the district administration has strengthened the transparency and reliability of this year’s procurement operations. Farmers have been actively arriving at the centres since morning, creating an encouraging atmosphere at the facilities. All necessary arrangements have been ensured for the convenience of farmers so they face no difficulty during the procurement process.
